The Wake Forest baseball team earned its first NCAA Tournament berth in nearly a decade, qualifying for the first time since 2007. The Demon Deacons finished 35-27, reaching the 35-win mark for the first time since 2002, and won their opening round NCAA Tournament game against Minnesota. Will Craig became a unanimous first team All-American, Wake Forest's first since 1988, and also received National Player of the Year honors from D1Baseball. He was selected in the first round of the MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates, while teammates Nate Mondou, Parker Dunshee (returning) and Chris Farish (returning) were also drafted, and Garrett Kelly and Aaron Fossas signed free agent deals. The Deacs finished with a 19-8 record at home, which included a combined 5-1 record against No. 4 Florida State and No. 13 North Carolina.
