Coming off two-straight 16-16 seasons, the Demon Deacons finished 12-20 with a 4-16 ACC record in 2015. After going 8-4 in non-conference play with tournament titles at the High Point Invitational and Deacon Classic, the Deacs went on to defeat Virginia, Notre Dame, Clemson and Boston College in league action. The victories over the Cavaliers, Tigers and Eagles were all 3-2 decisions that gave the Deacons a final mark of 5-1 in five-set matches. In the 3-1 road win over the Fighting Irish, sophomore libero Caroline Wolf registered 42 digs to earn ACC Player of the Week honors. The 42-dig total was the second-most in a four-set match in ACC volleyball history, as well as the most in the NCAA in a four-set match in 2015. Wolf went on to set the school single-season digs record with 551 on the year, a number that slotted her third in the conference. Fellow second-year standout Kylie Long also posted impressive numbers, becoming the seventh Deacon to post a 400-plus-kill season with 423. That mark was fifth in the ACC.
